Manuel Antonio Sunset Catamaran
3-hour evening cruise with cocktails and a spectacular sunset.
A full day of Pacific sailing, snorkeling with tropical fish, dolphin encounters, and spectacular Costa Rican coastline views.
Our Manuel Antonio catamaran tour is a full-day celebration of everything the Pacific coast has to offer — sailing, wildlife, snorkeling, delicious food, and stunning scenery. Departing from the Quepos Marina on a modern, comfortable catamaran, this tour delivers a comprehensive ocean experience that's perfect for couples, families, and groups of friends.
The morning begins with a scenic coastal sail past the cliffs and forests of Manuel Antonio National Park — a perspective of the park few visitors ever experience. Keep your eyes on the water: spinner and bottlenose dolphins are regularly encountered on this route, and they love to bow-ride alongside the catamaran in spectacular fashion.
The catamaran anchors at carefully selected snorkeling locations along the coast, where you'll explore the underwater world of the Pacific with provided equipment. Tropical fish in vibrant colors dart among the rocky reef formations, and more adventurous snorkelers sometimes encounter octopus, moray eels, and various ray species.
After the snorkeling session, the crew serves a freshly prepared onboard lunch featuring Costa Rican flavors — rice and beans, fresh ceviche, grilled fish, and tropical fruit. The open bar runs throughout the day with local beer, wine, agua de pipa (fresh coconut water), and soft drinks. It's the definition of a perfect tropical day.
The return sail in the afternoon offers beautiful light for photography — the coastline of Manuel Antonio glowing gold in the late-day sun, with the possibility of encountering more dolphins, flying fish, and if you're lucky, a passing whale or sea turtle.

Absolutely. Life jackets are provided and snorkeling is optional — non-swimmers can enjoy the boat ride, wildlife watching, food and drinks while others snorkel. The crew are trained in water safety and are attentive to all passengers.
The Pacific waters around Biesanz Beach and the rocky outcrops near Manuel Antonio support interesting marine life including parrotfish, angelfish, sea urchins, starfish, and occasionally manta rays and sea turtles. Visibility varies seasonally — best from December to April during the dry season.
While we cannot guarantee specific wildlife (nature is wild!), spinner and bottlenose dolphin sightings are extremely common on this route. The dolphins frequently approach the catamaran bow wave — an amazing experience. In peak season, dolphin encounters occur on the vast majority of departures.
