Full-Day Fishing Quepos
8-hour full-day fishing charter — the best way to experience Quepos offshore.
Premium sportfishing boats with experienced Pacific captains — everything you need for world-class fishing from Quepos Marina.
When it comes to sportfishing in Costa Rica, Quepos stands in a class of its own. The Pacific waters off this small marina town consistently produce some of the highest sailfish catch rates in the world, along with blue and black marlin, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi (dorado), and roosterfish. Our Quepos fishing charters give you access to these legendary waters on premium, fully-equipped sportfishing vessels with experienced Pacific captains.
Our charter fleet ranges from agile 28-foot center console boats — ideal for inshore and nearshore fishing — to powerful 50+ foot custom sportfishers designed specifically for offshore billfish. Every vessel is equipped with modern electronics, high-quality tackle, and all the safety equipment required for responsible offshore fishing.
The captains in our network are licensed Pacific fishing captains with decades of experience in the waters off Quepos. They know the current breaks where tuna stack, the underwater structure that attracts marlin, and the seasonal patterns of sailfish migration through the eastern Pacific. This local knowledge is the difference between a good fishing day and an extraordinary one.
All fishing licenses are included, tackle is provided (though experienced anglers are welcome to bring their own preferred rods), and the boat is stocked with snacks and drinks for the duration. Fish can be cleaned and filleted upon return to the marina, and we can arrange ice and packaging for guests wanting to take fish home.

Vessel selection depends on your group size and target species. Center console boats (28–32ft) are perfect for 2–4 anglers targeting inshore species. Larger cabin cruisers (38–50ft) are ideal for 4–6 anglers heading offshore for billfish. We'll recommend the optimal vessel for your specific needs when you contact us.
Quepos offers world-class fishing year-round. Sailfish peak from December to April. Yellowfin tuna and wahoo are best from May to November. Mahi-mahi are present year-round with peaks in spring. Blue and black marlin are more common from May to November. There is genuinely no bad time to fish out of Quepos.
Depending on the vessel, 2–6 anglers can fish comfortably. We recommend no more than 4 for dedicated offshore fishing to ensure everyone has adequate rod time. For larger groups (up to 12), we can arrange multi-boat charters so no one misses out.
